1972 Chevrolet Impala Day 1 The Pick Up
1972 Impala Day 1 The Pick Up ! I was soooo happy this day, It actually took a little longer than I expected. Well first of all I had to wait a week because of our work schedules. Then Instead of a check he wanted cash which was not a problem. That just meant that I just had to find the time to go take out the $8,500 dollars. Bank of America is a little nutty when you want to take out a large sum of money.. Not that I blame them hell if someone wanted to take money out of my account under my name. I’d want them to make sure that they didn’t .
And yes you did read that right. I only paid $8,500 for a 49,000 original mile car. Well she did need a little work to get her up to snuff but yea. I don’t know what I did so good in my life to get this car.. I was actually looking for a ’71 Impala Custom. There was a white one and sold on the day that I called I was sooooo friggin heartbroken.. I really was ! Then after two weeks of looking, you should have seen some winners I saw. One place had a ’71 for 19,000 and it didn’t even start..
However I did find a really cool ’67 Impala SS 4spd for $16,000. But again was sold the day I called about it. That night after work I go on craigslist and type in ’71 Impala and then this car pops up in the results. Ooook wrong year but hey something I really like about it.. It had a lotta pictures and I was blown away I knew I had to have this car..
So I reach out to the person selling the car. Asked a few questions and just blurted out when can I see it. He said Thursday and you didn’t have to tell me twice ! When I got there I knew this was the car, we talked for an hour and made preparations for payment and pick up.
The day of pick up I got an Uber and well the rest is history.

Ever since I could remember getting Tony’s Hot Dogs on Park ave in Newark NJ in his 65 Impala SS. Now I have my big Impala to drive around in and I love every min of it.
