1972 Impala Custom Coupe Road Trip
So back in April we did a little road trip from South Florida to New Jersey and back, she did fairly well. The gas gauge is a little wiggy so to play it say we stopped to get gas every 200 miles. 250 was pushing it a little.. The gas prices were not to bad but still cost us like almost 200 bucks each way for gas..
As usual we stopped to give some Homeless some food and blankets it was still cold in the northern states . The temperature didn’t Drop Until I got to The North Florida Georgia area.. It was in the mid 50s not too bad but don’t forget I just left 80 degree weather. By the time we hit Jersey it was the morning and 40 degrees, I loved it and so did the car she was running really well.
But by the time I got there I started smelling gas then realized the original fuel pump was leaking so 30 bucks and 10 min later we were back in action.. I also had the Transmission fluid changed just because who knows when it was done last. But the rest of the week the car ran like a champ around town and on the way back to South Florida as well
Now its time again to go back up and do some good things, but I would like to rebuild the Carb and update the radiator before I go and maybe see why the gas gauge is a bit wiggy before I go again. I’m glad I did the first run now to get the rest of the bugs worked out and the second run will be better !

Ever since I could remember getting Tony’s Hot Dogs on Park ave in Newark NJ in his 65 Impala SS. Now I have my big Impala to drive around in and I love every min of it.
