How To Change Spark Plugs 1972 Chevy Impala 350.

It’s more than likely the easiest thing you will do in your entire life.. All you have to make sure is that A you do not break a plug either taking it out or installing it. And B you DO NOT strip the threads on the cylinder head doing the same thing.. Do not make them Gorilla Tight ! Some people add lock tite on the plug . I never did so that is a personal preference as well .. But in my own opinion I would not do that risking making it harder to take them out when you have to change them next.

Now you are going to need a Spark Plug gapper and you an get those at any Autozone or Pep Boys.. I got my Spark Plugs from RockAuto.com.. They usually have the best deals.. Some parts for these old cars you may or may not have to order. But rather than drive down and see if they do or don’t. Use your google skills and see where you can get the parts and compare prices.. I have saved over 20 bucks on a few parts just by comparing and willing to wait a few days for a part with Free Shipping..

Now what I totally forgot to do was spray some WD 40 on each plug a night for a few days before I change the plugs. I will do that when I do the Plugs on the Trans Am. That Video is coming soon on dat76transam.com ..

Now as I mention in the Video get a piece of old or maybe new vacuum tubing to put on the end of the plug you are ready to instal to guide it in by hand first. Remember what I said about cross threading you do not want to do that. And by putting the plug in by hand first and feeling the plug go in correctly. Is worth extra repair bills later on down the road.

If you watch the video and do it the way I do . You should be fine…

Again Shameless Plug Thank You To Rockauto.com ..
